ELA- RS 3.4.2 Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest is this week's story. The Family Times packet gives all of the information on the concepts and skills taught each week and is very beneficial if you are looking for a quick glance into what we work on in our ELA block. Our current writing focus is informative writing. This goes along with our How To Presentations. Please look in your student's planner for the purple colored sheets that give some basic information sharks of what we need each child to do at home so they are prepared to create their own Adobe Spark multimedia presentation. If you have any questions, please let me know. An example was shown in class today and your child should be able to give you an idea of what we will be working on.
Math- We have completed Topic 9 on addition and subtraction with regrouping. The OPM will be given this Monday. Homework for this weekend is to complete 20 questions in their math skills packet and review the math packet we did in class today to prepare for the assessment next week.
Home-School Talking Points-
1. What is one way I suggested to students how to say "No" to drugs?
2. What story did I read to the class on Tuesday about internet safety?
3. What is the difference between a bully and a buddy? What are the different levels of a rude kiddo?
4. What special activity will your child be able to participate in if all of their weekly Lexia minutes and units, Dream Box units, and Family Times pages 2-5 are completed?
Silly Sally- Silly Sally likes cheese but not crackers. Silly Sally likes skiing but not snow boarding. What does Silly Sally like?
Thank you,
Ms. Stroud
