ELA- We are finishing up Prudy's Problem this week and will be assessing on Wednesday/Thursday, depending on how crazy Halloween is. Either way, we will begin Tops and Bottoms on Thursday. Baggie books are going GREAT. Keep up the good work and encourage your child to read each evening for 20 or more minutes.
Math- We finished up Topic 4 and had our OPM last week. Topic 5 is our last topic on multiplication and division. After that, it will be review material. AHHHH!
Other- On Halloween Day, please send your child in their costume ready for our annual school parade. The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. Parents are welcome to attend. The parent gallery will be outside on the east blacktop. That afternoon from 1:45-2:45, we will have a class party, ensuring your student comes home all excited and sugared up! ;-)
Home-School Talking Points-
1. What was different about last Friday? (We had Skeleton Day)
2. What special visitor stopped by last week? (Superintendent Briscoe)
3. Each student took a survey to identify their feelings about school. What were some of the questions asked?
Silly-Sally-
Silly Sally likes cotton candy but not sugar. Silly Sally likes spooky houses but not haunted houses. Silly Sally likes MM's but not chocolate. What does Silly Sally like?
Thanks,
Ms. Stroud
