ELA- We have moved to our next Unit in Wonders. Unit 4 begins with the text set The Talented Clementine. I remember reading this book to my kids when they were little and can't wait to read the excerpt with your children.
Math- Topic 12 here we come! Both Topic 12 and Topic 13 teach skills related to fractions. Fractions are really fun for students but also REALLY important for the future understanding in the later grades. Please have your children complete the nightly homework. This will give your child the extra boost that many need with this new concept.
Science- We have completed our plants unit and will move to animals next. As a third-grade team, we are working to supplement the purchased curriculum to help keep students engaged and provide activities that they look forward to completing.
Silly Sally- Silly Sally likes being sleepy but not being tired. Silly Sally likes butter but not margarine. What does Silly Sally like?
Home-School Talking Points-
1. What was white Ribbon Week? What were some of the things we discussed in class?
2. What is Multiplication Sparkle?
3. What is the How To Project? Information came home on Friday.
Thank you,
Ms. Stroud
