Parents,
ELA- We are currently in our review week for Reading Street. This will conclude this Wednesday, then we will move on to Just Like Josh Gibson. Our class book is coming along and I am excited to see the finished product!
Math- We will wrap up measurement today with a review, then assess tomorrow and Wednesday, if necessary. Topic 15 explores graphs and collecting data, another fun math concept. :-)
Science- Things in the night sky, is our current science unit. If you get a chance to do some star gazing in the next couple of weeks, I'm sure your child would enjoy "staring off into space" for a few extra minutes each day.
Other- Our field trip to the Museum of Natural History is this Thursday. Parent helpers, if you could make sure you are here by 8:45, that would be appreciated. Buses are scheduled to leave here around 9:00.
Home-School Talking Points-
1. How is our Oreo Cookie science project go? What did we talk about?
2. Who joined our Morning Meeting on Friday? (Miss Piggle-Wiggle and Miss Tickles)
3. What change occurred in Brain Boosters last Friday? (We said our good-byes to Coach A.)
4. Silly Sally like pepper but not salt. Silly Sally likes bubble gum but not chewing gum. What does Silly Sally like? Come on parents! Loosen up your thought process and think creatively. I had 10 year old students get this. ;-)
From the Mouths of Babes-
"She is my nemesis." (Referring to another student giving this student a difficult time.)
Thank you,
Ms. Stroud
