ELA- We have concluded Unit 4 in our Reading Street curriculum. The review week will be assessed on Wednesday. Please see the Family Times packet for the skills and concepts taught during the last 5 weeks.
Math- Today, we started Topic 13, which continues teaching fractions. Topic 13 goes more into comparing fractions. Overall, the class is doing really well with acquiring the necessary skills for a basic understanding of fractions. Fractions in 4th and 5th grades relies heavily on multiplication and division basic facts. Please continue to potato work on flash card practice at home.
Other- Thank you for signing up for a conference time. If you would prefer to meet virtually, please let me know and I will set up a Zoom meeting to discuss the progress and goals for your child.
Silly Sally- Silly Sally likes kettles but not pots. Silly Sally likes books but not magazines. What does Silly Sally like?
Home-School Talking Points-
1. How tall was your child's Unifix cube earthquake tower?
2. What did your child do during out inside recess time this week?
3. We moved seats in class. What major change happened?
4. What did we do on "Twosday" this week?
Thank you,
Ms. Stroud
