ELA- We have started our Unit 1 Review Week. During this time, we will review the skills and concepts learned the previous 5 weeks. On Wednesday, September 30, we will complete the Unit 1 OPM. The Family Times packet was passed out on Wednesday. Page 2 was assigned Wednesday and page 3 today. Baggie books are going great! For students that turned one in this week, another one was checked out and sent home today.
Math- We are about half way through Topic 3, which continues with multiplication and the distributive property of multiplication. Topic 3 will wrap up next week. Please work with your child on memorizing the multiplication facts. It is essential to fluently computing the algorithm for long division and multiplication.
Other- Conferences went well. It was fun to see student's faces without a mask! If you have any follow up questions, please let me know. Also, please remember to send the "Return to School" packet back with your child on Monday. There will be a 'fanta'stic treat for those that so.
Other- Next week will be a regular 5-day learning week. The following week, beginning October 5th will start the 4-day in person learning schedule. As soon as I hear what this will entail for students, I will let you know.
Other- PTA Fundraiser packets will go home on Monday. Please look for them in your child's planner. They will be due Friday, October 2nd.
Home-School Talking Points-
1. What is Second Steps?
2. We had our first student birthday of the year! Who's birthday was it?
3. During library Brain Boosters, students were shown the SORA program. What is SORA?
Enjoy your 3-day weekend,
