ELA- Our current Reading Street week is RS 3.4.5 Fly, Eagle, Fly! This will follow our regular assessment schedule and we will have our OPM on Tuesday, March 2. The following week will be our review for Unit 4. Hopefully everyone has enjoyed your child's Hink Pink or Hinky Pinky. They were so cute!
Math- We have completed Topic 11 and will begin Topic 12 next Monday. Topic 12 is on fractions. Fractions are so fun to teach and even though they can be intimidating to some desk pet students, they seem to really enjoy learning about number parts. There are so many fun ways to use fractions at home, which really helps solidify fractions (think cooking, parts of a cookie package, even time).
How-To Projects- These were so cute! I hope all of you had the chance to watch your kiddos Adobe Spark presentation. They can be accessed through Clever, just in case you haven't seen their hard work.
Silly Sally- How close are your kiddos in understanding the riddle? Once they know what Silly Sally likes, please have them secretly let me know so we don't spoil the surprise for other kiddos. So far we have 2 students that have figured out the riddle! Silly Sally likes middle school but not high school. Silly Sally likes SAVVAS but not Pearson. What does Silly Sally like?
Other- There will be no school tomorrow, due to Parent Teacher Conferences. Enjoy your 3-day weekend. Lexia and Dream Box will still be available if your child has not completed their weekly units or minutes.
Home-School Talking Points-
1. I had a substitute on Monday and Tuesday. She seemed great! What did your kiddo think of her?
2. What was your child's 3 favorite How-To Presentations?
3. There was a game at recess that the third grade team has decided to put a temporary hold on?
Enjoy your 3-day weekend,
Ms. Stroud
