ELA- We will conclude our text set Elizabeth Cady Stanton on Monday and take the OPM on Tuesday, as we typically do. This week's story was a biography and an opportunity for students to get a peek at what they will be reading for their Famous Person Wax Museum presentations. If you child has not selected a biography book, please look online at the Salt Lake County website or Amazon to find a book that will be interesting to read. Students that have not selected a book by Friday will be assigned one from the grade level library.
Math- We concluded our fraction strand today. Monday, we will begin Topic 14 which covers measurement. This includes telling time and determining elapsed time.
Home-School Talking Points-
1. What is March's wellness word and what project did your child complete on Tuesday with Ms. Andrea?
2. Today was Career Day. What were the 4 occupations of our presenters? Two presenters have students in our class. Which students got to share their mom's with us today?
3. Today's high temp is the average temp for March. What was today's high temp?
Silly Sally- This is a riddle I enjoy doing with the class. Read the clues and see if your child can figure out the answer. Over the next several weeks, I will give additional clues. Silly Sally likes spaghetti but not lasagna. Silly Sally likes apples but not oranges. What does Silly Sally like?
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Stroud
